That is about passing a uniform check, not about being slim: the jacket sits close, the pants are cut roomier. Worth knowing that the check is done on you, not on the gi — build and limb length change where a sleeve lands, so if you’re competing, measure while wearing it, well before the day. It also runs small next to streetwear — an XL t-shirt is an A4 gi — so if you’re between sizes, go up. Every product page has a size chart.

The pearl weave shells are pre-shrunk, but hot washes and tumble drying will still tighten them up over time. Cold wash, hang dry in the shade, and the liner print stays sharp too.
